Principle #2 to Perfect Digestion and …. Honey Turmeric Truffle Recipe

I created this recipe two months ago, while in Córdoba, Argentina. Living in Argentina for the last year and a half has been a revelation in what healthy, easy eating and living is. I don’t have the same bloating and IBS that I did while living in the United States. I think a great deal has to do with the right food combining (more on that in another post) AND spacing meals with a mega large amount of time (i.e. this can be called intermittent fasting).

PRINCIPLE #1 TO PERFECT DIGESTION:

Eat sweet things first. Why? Sweet things are digested first. Think of fruit, chocolate, honey etc …. it goes down easily and is the first thing to be digested. In order of what to eat first, it’s always wise to eat your dessert first.

HEALING HONEY TURMERIC HEALING TRUFFLES RECIPE

Anti-inflammatory, low-sugar, gut-healing and absolutely delicious. Great for all Doshas.

  • 1 1/3 cup turmeric powder

  • 1/2 cup raw honey

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp ginger powder

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, using your hands. Mix into a paste. Roll out dime-sized balls and store in an air-tight glassware container (ideally, or tupperware ;)
