Principle #1 to Perfect Digestion

Last week we touched upon principle #1 to perfect digestion. Now we dig a little bit deeper into the second principle to perfect digestion:

DON'T EAT AGAIN UNTIL YOU'VE DIGESTED YOUR PREVIOUS MEAL

How long should you wait between meals? For most people, complete digestion usually takes from three to 6 hours. The long you fast between meals the longer you allow for a your digestion to burn strong and powerfully.

In Ayurveda, one of the KEY principles to a good digestion is to space your meals long enough so that you FEEL HUNGRY. This isn’t in an effort to make your day stink, it’s to actually have a healthy burning digestive chamber. Think of a wood fire, you need air and space to get it burning GOOD. You learn to make triangle shapes between different pieces of wood to get the wood lit up. If the wood is collapsed on top of itself it won’t burn properly.

Similarly, your digestive chamber holds your metabolic fire, if you eat and start digesting on top of previously sitting food in your GI tract, you will get backed up, bloat, and have irregular bowel movements.

SPACE YOUR MEALS & YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE
