POST-VACCINE RECOVERY TIPS

How can you help your body naturally after taking the vaccine? I got this question a few times privately, so going to share about how herbs, and, more importantly, lifestyle medicine can help.

  1. First of all, fear not. Your body will recover and any side-effects should be minor. If you have major side-effects call your family doctor (or Dr. López, my pops ;) .

  2. Go outside and get PLENTY of fresh air and sunshine.

  3. Drink water. Drink herbal tea. Drink herbal infusions. Hydration game strong!

  4. Avoid partying, drugs, stimulants, alcohol of any kind for at least for 48 hours.

  5. Get your deep sleep.

  6. Make medicinal mushrooms your best friend!!

HERBS & MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS

When it comes to herbs, lean into the mushroom kingdom. (They technically are not an herb, but for us herbalists, we always consider them when we are speaking about immune system support.) Mushroom tinctures or powders with high-quality reishi, cordyceps, turkey tail or lions mane are excellent immune system promoters when anything alien bumps your system.

  • Sunpotion (Expensive AF but the gold-standard for medicinal supplements)

  • Foursigmatic (Haven’t actually tried their stuff but everyone seems to love them)

  • There was one more company I love in NC but I can’t remember their name, argh!
